    advice please ..
I live in a country area and we have 0.1 MB broadband speed .Dial up or pony express would be better . I have looked into other providers and we are on the wrong side of the mountain for satellite broadband.Someone mentioned getting a dongle . Which company are better for this and is this the right way to go?

    Check your location here
    http://www.askcomreg.ie/mobile/siteviewer.273.LE.asp
then get a PAYG SIM to test the speeds (either via your phone or via an unlocked USB modem)

You need to go to a bored FG backbencher and tell them that people like you exist. The dept of Communications reckons we can all get satellite, they do not recognise Satellite Shadow in Ireland and you are in a satellite shadow area.

Course you probably won't get Digital TV either for the same reason unless you already have it.
