Anyone know if EI will be doing this again this year and if so when do they start using the A330's for the Malaga route, seem to recall it starting in May?

25 March - 27 October on the 7.40 departure from DUB and 12.50 departure from AGP.

Yes - they will be doing the same as per previous years. The EI584/585 will be operated by one of the A330's. It operates the whole summer schedule in length (i.e. from when the Hour goes forward until when it goes back again).

How does that work in terms of scheduling the aircraft? I imagine there must be one A330 lying idle in the winter season if they can allocate it to the AGP route? Or is it just a more efficient use of layover time in between a US arrival and departure?

Wondered that myself until someone here the other day explained it. They use one of the early inbounds from the US. Will find link to full explanation, am on my mobile at the minute.

New York and Boston flight arrive in around 5am. The last departure to the US is 5pm to New York so it would be back from Malaga in time for that.
