Transferring music and vids to new Macbook

    Hi All,

    I'm just wondering what the best way of transferring all the music and videos from my current (Vista) laptop to my soon to be delivered Macbook?

    Two different guys in one of the Apple retailers have told me different things.

    If I buy this portable HD http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/10733728/art/iomega/screenplay-mx2-hd-media-p.html , can I go between my current laptop and my new one? I've been told I'll have to re-format the hard drive once I connect it to an Apple device?

    If anyone has tried this before and has any suggestions/warnings I'd be grateful.
