    Hi lads
I have recently installed a free to air dish same as a sky dish. its fed with RG6 AkA Rg56,
its the one with the white foam silver foil and silver braiding,My signal quality and strength are approx 60%, i have seen other sky signal up in the 80 - 90 mark.picture attached below,I was just wondering would i be having signal loss due to the TYPE of coax im using if i use the coax with copper braiding and silver foil would that boost my signal and intensity,Or would i be wasting my time,Just came to mind after viewing another thread here recently.thanks.

That doesn't specify an RG6 at all. You need a full part number & manufacturer. Look at the Belden cables site you will see what I mean.

It could be your alignment, LNB Skew or the cable. Or a combination. You don't say what size dish (the most important aspect) or the length of cable. These are all important.

Any kinks or sharp bends? Was the cable twisted or kinked temporarily?

Anything with "silver" foil and braid is usually rubbish (really Aluminium as only professional cables use real silver). But Actually there are many different cables of your description.

No idea as "RG6" is too generic.

PF100 and TX100 are "real" cable designations.
