While Golfing yesterday I reached my ball following my first shot (A Drive on a par 4).

I found by ball split in two on the ground (My drive gone towards some trees beside the fairway and the impact must have caused this)

What rule should apply in this situation?

The best way to find out about a rule is to look it up yourself, that way you're more likely to reminder.
Look here and tell us what you find.

    Cheers,

The bal can be replaced and no penalty applies
