    Hi,

I'm wondering would anyone have an idea where i could meet a few of the rugby boys after the French game.
I'm in Paris for the game and would like to meet and maybe have a pint with them.
My Fiancee would also like to get a picture with 1 or 2 of them? :)

    Regards,

You have a better chance of meeting them around training the day before the game or at the airport. The six nations schedule is released to the media by O2/IRFU before the start of the tournament, team hotels, training runs etc. Easy enough to find it.

Bearing in mind the France game kicks off at 9pm local time, it's unlikely the lads will be heading out in Paris afterwards. Food and a few drinks in their hotel more likely given it's about an hour by road back into Central Paris from SdF.

Wow 9pm kick off? Jazuz that's nearly bedtime for some of them......as for meeting them on the day, I wouldn't say you have a knats chance. In the days of mossy and the lads it was a district possibility.

I'd be careful. They'd probably just steal her and start throwing you accross the room for a laugh.

Generally they are pretty accessible if you can catch them between the hotel and their bus. I've bumped into many of them outside the Shelbourne in the lead up to a home game as they go to/from training, siad hi and wished them luck. Never asked for a pic with them, but doubt it would be a problem.

Realistically going out for a pint with the team is a bit much. I mean why would they want to do that?

You could try and find out where they're training over there and possibly meet them there instead.

Have met the team twice in Kitty O'Shea's in Paris after a game. Best one was after Drico got the three tries in 2000 and we won in Paris for the first time in 28 years. Great, great night and still have great pictures.

    Bon Match !

They haven't been in Kitty's the last two times we played France over there. Place can get rough enough too. Think the 9pm kick off will really make it unlikely that the team are out and about, won't be back in Paris til midnight and then need food and to wind down.

they'll be tied up with the post match function and meal. JustinD should be able to advise best as he works with irfu.

anytime i've come across teams is prematch in the team hotel, the 22 will be out of bounds but the non playing players will be wandering about.

As mentioned, the late kick-off might mean that they don't go anywhere but Kitty O'Shea's is your best bet. However, what often happens is that the upstairs room is reserved and the players go up there, leaving the plebs downstairs.

I was there the night of the BOD hat-trick in 2000 as well, Guy Easterby stuck his tongue in my ear! (NB: I'm a bloke)

Hey Totallegend. It was a great night wasn't it? Many great memories. The Frenchies there were great craic too and they taught us that great song/chanson " Les Anglais sont les homosexuelles..." to the tune of Yellow Submarine by the Beatles which we all then sang ad-nauseum.

While Easterby didn't try to stick the tongue on any of us he was was re-named "mot-thief" as one of the lads with us was doing real well with the ladies and Monsieur Easterby just waltzed into the group and stole them away. Also the chat with Paddy Johns where he said the immortal lines after we raised his sin binning...."well, the lads dug deep". Snakeskin scrumcap me hole !

Halcyon days, nothing was too hot or heavy back then. :)

Was in Paris few years ago at a match and met Dricco just wandering around the Champs Elysees with his bird.

They were actually looking in one of those fancy car showrooms the day before the game
