    Hi all,

So i've had those cheapo dealextreme computers on my bike for a while and it started dying so I opted to got for one of the newer GPS with cadence computers. Thought I'd share some of my initial thoughts.

After reading alot on dcrainmaker and his recommendations I bought the Timex Global Ironman gps watch.

My inital thoughts after 2 weeks use are "GREAT".

I got the unit and the speed/cadence/hrm for total 150 euros. Shiped from USA with no extra tax.

The watch is a competitor to the garmin 310xt for 305. Its solild and sit nicely on the bars of the bike. The night mode is great for evening runs.

As a cycle computer is the biz. It does it all heart rate, cadence, speed, distance, average this and total that, altituve this and that. All with a upload to training peaks so you can review everything you've done.

You'll find them knocking around ebay for cheap. I highly recomened

Plus As an add-on bruce bonus. It works loverly as a GPS for the golf course. I uploaded the gps cor-ordinates of all 18 holes and then used the display to show me the distance left Works a treat.
