    Hi, my laptop won't come on when I turn it on,

    Basically what happens is ;

    I turn on the laptop with the a/c adaptor plugged into the wall, when I press the power button it comes on but starts blinking after a few seconds, the screen goes blank and I can not access anything!

    I have taken the battery out and left it for 10mins but when I put in back in I get the same result.

    I opened to clean the fan and made sure to put everything back correctly, it was working fine after I cleaned the fans.

    I am not sure if it is my motherboard, charger or battery itself... :(

    any help please??

    If you know someone that has a good quality charger that works then try that first. I have had a lot of laptops that people have deemed blown motherboard just because the lights come one and nothing else happens when turned on. Turns out that chargers can just lose their mojo but still be capable of throwing something at the laptop. I have one here that the touchpad doesn't work when I use the lousy replacement charger that the customer bought. When I hook it into my one, it works perfect!
    Next try running it with one memory module at a time.

    When you take out the battery and disconnect the mains hold down the power button for a minute or two to drain the laptop completely.

    Hi there.
    I am fixing one of these laptops with the same problem this weekend.
    Where are you based?
