Hi Lads, Just a quick message about an old lad out our way (Waterford Coast) who went ferreting last Saturday night week.
He went out on his own with the ferret after a few rabbits as he often did, he never arrived home at the usual time as expected.
The following morning, his body was found lying head first into an old ditch \ wall.
Its reckoned he was trying to dig the ferret out after it got stuck in a hole somewhere in the ditch, he put his head in or something but the whole ditch \ wall caved in around his upper body.
Goes to show you lads how bloody easily a simple act can turn out badly when out on your own, no matter how many times you've done it before.

That can easily happen especially in sandy areas. There were kids killed in this area before, playing in the sand dunes. They dug out under the brinks and made hideouts I suppose you'd call them, collapsed down on top of them.
