Rental land prices

    Time of year to be sorting out the rented land.... any pointers as to how much an acre land is making??? hoping to go see our land lord next week reckon he'l be getting a bit greedy. payin 130 per acre already great grazing in paddocks with handling and shed. thinking of looking for a 5 year to secure land for increasing numbers....what kinda € should we be talking. Thanks all btw meath west area.

    I'm an auctioneer and we do lots of land lettings.
    Prices are up €10-30 per acre in most cases.
    We are advising landlords to stick with good tenants where they can, as there is huge interest from "new" tenants due to CAP rumours.
    Average price here in Tipp for your set-up is €170-190pa, whether on lease or not.
    Lease is best for all parties, imo, but put in a review clause. No-one knows where we will be in 5 years.

    150 euro is the average and thats without a yard in general

    Thanks for the replies lads kinda hoping d landlord is'nt readin this thread now:rolleyes: hope he does'nt insist on a €30 increase don't think i could stretch that far definatly not over a 5yr term. Anyone else have an idea of the rental prices???

    im taking 30 acres good of quality land 3 miles from home for 170 per acre plus auctioneers fees.im there 4 years now and im hoping i dont get heeled out in the 2014 land grab!!!!!!

    Just curious what you mean by the 2014 Land grab ?, Guessing it's due to the potential change to the entitlements schemes... when is this due to happen or when will it be decided ?
