Surprised Micheál O Siochrú is doing Bloody Sunday - would have expected him to look at Cromwell. I would have thought 1972 is a bit outside his usual area.

Dr Micheál Ó Siochrú specialises in the history of Early Modern Ireland, with a particular focus on the Wars of the Three Kingdoms (1641-1653). He is currently involved in two major projects in the field of War Studies, the 1641 Deposition Project and Citizens and Soldiers in Early Modern Europe. Dr O Siochrú teaches Early Modern Irish and British History with a particular focus on the political, military, diplomatic and constitutional histories of
    the 17th century.
