    Myself and a couple of mates were considering heading to the Aran Islands for a night next week...

    Is it a good idea to go during January? Will anyone else be there? Pubs/restaurants open? Is there a late bar/nightclub?

    Any advice appreciated!

    Hi there.
    The Islands are great anytime. The pubs are all open on Inis Mór. Restaurants are not. Joe Watty's does good food in the evenings this time of year and the Supermacs is open. It's a nice time to visit but there will not be too many visitors. Accommodation will be available.
    If you need B&B, you'll find a list HERE. Aer Arann Islands are doing a winter offer for €90 which includes flights, B&B and dinner in watty's.. Island ferries also have a ferry and B&B deal.
    You'll find contact details HERE.
    Hope this was helpful.
    John.

    Hi lizgal. Inis Oirr (Inisheer) is the smallest of the 3 Islands and is the most popular with surfers.

    Sorry John have to correct you on a point;
    Yes, there is a Supermacs premises on Inis Mór, but it's only open during the summer months.
