Nokia Headphone Jack Plugs

    Will a normal stereo jack plug work properly instead of a jack plug with 4 segments, just for listening to music.

    I know you may loose out on incoming call alert and inline volume control.

    I use standard headphones with my Nokia C7 and I've never had problems. As long as they're the standard 3.5" type, you should be fine. There are a few Nokias with 2.5" sockets, don't know about those though.

    My C7 tells me if something won't work with it, you'll see an incompatible accessory if something doesn't work. For example, my C7 rejected urBeats from a HTC Sensation XL as soon as I plugged them in.
