I'd be interested to hear the view of the professionals on the efficiacy of the various brands and flavours of mouthwash on the market. I find it increasingly difficult to find Listerine 'Original' - the pale orange stuff so last time around I bought the Coolmint (blue) flabour as I can't stand any of the green mint…

I'd be interested to hear the view of the professionals on the efficiacy of the various brands and flavours of mouthwash on the market.

I find it increasingly difficult to find Listerine 'Original' - the pale orange stuff so last time around I bought the Coolmint (blue) flabour as I can't stand any of the green mint flavours. Listerine Coolmint is relatively tasteless, no mint or disinfectant taste. And what's the deal with alcohol in mouthwash and supposed health risks? Surely when you're rinsing it all out and spitting it into the sink there's virtually no residue and therefore no consumption?
