Seen him on tv doing the gumball rally, he might even have won it one year in a big ass brabus or something.

Schmitz has taken part in the Gumball 3000 international road rally on several occasions, finishing "first" in 2001 in his Mercedes Brabus SV12 Megacar. He also competed in 2004.

You'd never guess he was German! the number plates are fantastic... Mafia, Hacker, Police...

    I like this trick:

"In 2001, Schmitz purchased $375,000 worth of shares of the nearly bankrupt company LetsBuyIt.com and subsequently announced his intention to invest EUR 50 million in the company. Unknown to others, Schmitz did not have the funds available to invest, although the announcement caused the share value of LetsBuyIt.com to jump by nearly 300%.Schmitz quickly sold the shares and profited $1.5 million as a result"

The guy is obviously very smart but not sure how he is going to get on now that he has the feds on him and NZ playing along. I doubt he will do any time for this - will surround himself with the best lawyers and remain in NZ.
