Strange Happenings

Last night, I opened up Firefox on my imac. There were no other programmes open on the computer. However it sounded as if I had opened up Skype and connected to another computer. I could hear people moving and talking in the background. I quit Firefox and restarted the programme but the same thing happened. I only got rid of this problem when I disabled add ons in the help menu. Could someone be hacking into my computer? It has me a bit freaked.

Could it have been an advertisement at the bottom or side of the screen? They're becoming very intrusive these days..

My guess is an advertisement aswell. Download Firefox Adblock Plus extension to combat these issues :)
