The OH has an E90 and the right hand side indicator bulb is flashing like its having a heart attack. A notice also came up to change it. Does anyone know what bulb it uses (I'd think a 501) and is it easy to change?

    Or is it something else?

It's a normal indicator bulb but good look changing it its flashing coz one of the bulbs is gone if its the front that's flashing like mad have a look at your rear and side indicators as one of them will be blown either that or you have got a bad wiring contact problem.but good look to changing the front one if it's that

I presume it's a pre-facelift model because from about 2009 on they have a LED cluster in the rear indicator and a special bulb in the front indicator (I can't remember the reference).

You can get access to the front indicator bulb by removing a panel inside the front wheelarch, just use a coin to turn the retaining clips about a quarter turn. Access to the rear indicator bulb is by pulling back the trim in the boot.
