    Hi Folks,

I'm visiting Ireland (Dublin) for a few days in February and was wondering what people could suggest for the cheapest sim only mobile broadband option. I have an unlocked dongle and am looking for a Prepay 1gb - 3gb 3G/HSDPA deal for around 10 - 15 Euro as I'll only be there for 3 days. Wifi is too expensive where I'm staying as would be data roaming with my existing provider. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I think I read somewhere that Tesco don't use 3G but only GPRS / 2G / 2.5G Edge on the O2 network. I maybe totally wrong of course! :)

If it's true, speeds would be akin to the old fixed line dial-up days. I'll check it out though.

    Thanks.

It looks as if I may have answered my own question. This looks like the best deal I've come across from 3 Ireland - "Broadband Week" 1 week of access 2GB €10. €5 for the sim.
