    hi there

i am wondering if you can help me, i was thinking of going doing the fetac level 6 train the trainer course,
i have a beauty specialist level 2 diploma in itec and cibtac, i am a qualified make up artist and have qualified in gel nails and shellac , eyelash extensions etc, i also have qualified in hair extensions and basic hairdressing with a cert from my local hairdresser who trained me.

i was emailing colleges to find out what qualifications they accept in their tutors?
i am trying to find out if colleges accept the fetac level 6 train the trainer course for their tutors?

so far i have been told by some that they only want me to have my itec/cibtac qualification, others that i need the train the trainer course and by others saying i need to do other courses etc

also i am on back to education at the moment until april when i am finished college can i get the courses like train the trainer and other teacher training courses funded by anything?

please answer me quickly as it would be very helpful to me

    thank you

    Hi Carareen,
when you qualify you could also pop in a few cvs I to second level schools in your area as LCA do hair and beauty and some schools are looking to offer something similar in transition year! I know people will tell you you must be registered with teaching council but it is worth a shot! In my own school a hairdresser teaches it to LCA and salon supplies company in my area told me they are coming into schools and teaching beauty (tanning, nails) to transition years and I think some students are using their skills for mini company! I reckon you would only get a few hours but it might be handy to supplement your income! Some second level schools offer night classes which you could also teach!
