Geothermal and Electricity Bill

    as titles suggests have geothermal. Just wondering what your Christmas Bill was? Ours was €469 (electric and heating) Live in 3,200 sq foot house. Just looking for any tips on how to run the system more efficiently.Thanks

    I would suggest that there is something fundamentally wrong with your set up if that was the bill for two months - I would recommend that you get a heating engineer with a good knowledge of geothermal out to you as soon as possible as nobody will be able to diagnose your problem without seeing your set up

    Someone must have designed the heating system.
    The installer could be made responsible, the guarantee runs for 2 years on the euipment andfor 5 years on the design.

    Compare the heating degree days to see what can be expected in a normal winter, this winter was - so far - exceptionally mild.
    The electricity consumption of a HP will drop non-linear with more thermal output, check the tested behaviour of your model.
