O2 mobile bb - file download repeatedly fails

[EDIT] I just took the obvious next step and tried downloading another large file - OpenOffice which is about 150MB. No problems. So it doesn't seem to be an O2 problem. Sorry O2, please forgive me![/EDIT]

I live in rural South Kerry so my only 'broadband' choice is mobile. I use O2 mobile broadband.

I'm trying to download Artisteer from http://www.artisteer.com/?p=downloads. The file size is 102MB.

I have been trying intermittently for two days now. Artisteer support, who are very helpful, have been unable to replicate my problem.

After a short period when the download appears to be progressing as normal, it unexpectedly seems to complete. The file size of the .exe is only a few megabytes, however. The most I've got is 39MB. Any attempt to run the .exe results in a checksum failure.

I have tried on two different laptops, one Win7 and one XP, using FF, Chrome, Opera, Free Download Manager and Internet Download Manager. I have bypassed my wireless router and used the O2 mobile dongle directly. Nothing works.

It's not the application. It's not the computer. It's not the router. It doesn't appear to be Artisteer. That leaves O2. Do they have an effective limit on download file size or something? Any help much appreciated.
