Laptop to TV - audio sync

I have connected my Toshiba laptop to my Sony Bravia TV by HDMI (straight into HDMI port on TV). However, the audio and picture are slightly out of sync and is annoying during dialogue. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi

if you use VLC Player on the PC you can change the speed of the sound to match the picture,right click on the PC screen while it is playing and there are various tweak options available.
