Tutorials & expensive magazines

I love the tutorials you get in the digital camera mags, but these mags are so darned expensive, can anyone recommend and sites that do good tutorials such as still life, macro shots etc?

there are some photography courses on itunes u - not sure if they're any good but I'll be checking them out over the next few days.
