    hi all,

great to see so many people tackle many jobs them selves!

have been a happy opel/vaux owner for years, use op-com a lot, ventured into some obd stuff recently for checking engine codes across an array of vehicles,

have coded and soldered spare keys for my older cars.

my fiancee has gone french on me and picked up a 2007 dynamique 1.4 clio. thanks to ebay and the fact she is european car parts are cheap and cheerful to pick up and service parts are easy get......

anyway on to my ridiculous question!
i have 2 keys for it, but i want to convert one to a flip key.

this particular clio came with the new "fob key", see below.

the clio a few months before it came with this, see below

i ordered a flip case which will comfortably hold the electronics of the above shape (see picture below), but no flip key exists with the top picture button lay out. Renault_Clio_remote_key_After2008_.jpg

my question, (i know what a slog) if i de solder the immobilser chip on the top key and resolder it to the electronics of the second key should it be a case of plug and play re starting my car?
