I'm looking at going to Majorca with my 1 yr old can anyone recommend a resort suitable. I dont mind having to spend the week there so a few things for him to do would be great.

    Thanks

I would stay north of the island, somewhere like Pollensa or Allcudia as they are more family orientated than places like Magaluf, we stayed in Calla Dor in the south east which was also nice and has good connections to the airport, We hired a car mid-week to take a look around, car hire is resonable when booking out there and cars can be hired on a daily basis. Hope you enjoy your hol's.

We stay near Cala D'Or (South East) almost every Summer and I would recommend it. There are lots of families around and lots of entertainment in the area is geared towards kids.

Having said that, our neighbours recently took their kids (including a 1yr old) to the north of the island (Alcudia) and they had a great time, again because it's very well geared towards families.

Whatever you do don't bring kids to Santa Ponca or Magaluf! They'll never get any sleep, you'll never get any sleep!

We usually rent a car for at least a few days when we're over as it allows you to go to the waterparks and the brilliant new Aquarium with minimum hassle, and see a bit of the island. Our toddler loved the Aquarium last year by the way but it's a little pricey.

Alcudia is fantastic, the viva sunrise hotel is great for little kids they have slides and good kids entertainment.

The accommodation is being upgraded but alcudia is family orientated and in a lot of places kids eat free.
