Have just downloaded Backtrack on to USB using Unetbootin and have restarted computer only to find that it doesn't go any further than this "syslinux 4.03 2010 - 10 22
Copyright (c) 1994 - 2010 H Peter Avin ET Al" Won't bring up the interface. Any ideas what's going on thanks.

Try using YUMI to make the bootable USB Key

I had a similar problem, also found YUMI to work. I also tried win32diskimager-RELEASE-0.3-r27-binary.zip and found it didn't seem to make the MBR right; it defined the partitions OK, but no boot code. With a hex editor I robbed the boot code from the MBR created by Yumi and my other USB now boots.

Try Sardu to create the bootable USB key.
You can create a handy key with various bootable utilities, including Backtrack.
