We don't want things to go like that here. Ever.

    Ever, ever.

Sure you only get a few years for rape in this country, if she's hot enough, it may well be worth it. :)

Strange decision not even a manslaughter charge. It is a tragic story.

The kid who did that school shooting in USA was bullied too...

Slightly different don't you think? Victim obviously doesn't deserve to be dead but he is not innocent either. Bully pursued the kid after he got off a number of stops earlier to avoid him and started throwing punches

I think 12 stab wounds may be just shy of reasonable force...

F*ck the bully, he voluntarily entered into a physical altercation, which can result in all kinds of injuries, the other kid did not volunteer to risk his life and defended himself.

How many times have we read about an assault here on some poor Polish chap or a visiting tourist where the beating turned into brain damage or death? No-one should be obligated to 'hope for the best' when some scumbag is laying into them.

Aye but in the US shooting people said the kid was nutter and suffered from mental illness and ignored the fact that he was bullied for being korean and hence very likely was driven off the ledge due to that and not just because he was suffering from social anxiety and what not...

Shooting at randoms is not the same as using deadly force in a self-defense situation.

I wonder did he warn the bully that he had a knife and gave him a chance to avoid this?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Yup but still one can't ignore the deep psychological impact bullying can have on a person. Especially when they're a vulnerable teenager.

While stabbing him once might have been self-defence, 12 times shows definite intend to do more than just defend yourself

He was happy enough to attack him when he thought he didn't have a knife, having consideration for the bullies cowardice is not a legal obligation once he attacks you. The victim is still being assaulted and at risk of permanent injuries or death, and warning and threatening someone are shaky ground and a potential offense in itself in most places.

Getting off the bus earlier to avoid the fight, trying to leave despite being assaulted...he did a lot to try and avoid the fight.

Have you ever seen a school fight? The lads throw short punches into each other dozens at a time, I can imagine this bigger bully going at the bullying victim and keeping at him swinging as the other guy stabs back at him, taking time to register the wounds he has taken. Many of them probably to the arms and generally shallow. I doubt he straddled the other fella and stabbed into his chest 12 times, it would have been a flurry like any fight I've ever seen.

Good verdict by the Judge, you have got to be able to protect yourself.

Bully was old enough to know better. When you push and push somebody like that they enter to a rage and it was probably over before the bullied kid realized what he was doing.

Having been bullied myself I understand what the victim was going through.

However I cannot condone stabbing another human being any amount of times.

Defending yourself is one thing, plunging a knife into some-one 12 times is quite another. I worry for anyone who thinks that this is acceptable.

I don't want to live in a society where murder is comendable and acceptable, as some people are treating it here.

The big guy clearly thought he was being a hard lad, picking on this kid for months on end, went purposely out of his way to make his life miserable, forced to kid to enter into a physical confrontation, and he was met with force.

Reminds me of an old Onion headline : 'Abuser was himself abuser as a child'. No sympathy for bullies. You have to expect a reaction, that guy was just unfortunate Blade didnt go down the traditional snitchy route.

I'm glad this kid got off, seems like bullies rule the roost in most places until someone teaches them a lesson (i'm not condoning stabbing someone to death, but the fact is if he wasn't antagonising the kid deliberately, he wouldn't have been stabbed).

I was bullied a good bit as a young teenager. One of the 'hard men' in particular had a thing for making my life as miserable as could be.

He approached me one day, and b1tch slapped me and asked "what am i going to do about it?" Spur of the moment response, i grabbed him, broke his nose with a headbutt, blackened his eye with a punch. I only struck him twice, but did a reasonable amount of damage. I was 14 then, and that was my first and last physical fight (i'm 30 now).

You never know in the spur of the moment what damage you're doing.

I do not know what to make of this. On one hand bullying is wrong but does that mean he deserved to die?

Surely most people here, regardless of age, can say they have done stupid things when they were younger.
Stabbing someone twelve times makes it seem like it was a little more than simple self defence.

I've been bullied, i know the anger and humiliation you can feel. To actually stab someone though, the bullyng must have been constant. Hopefully he gets the some counselling and can have a good life now. I have no pity for the bully

Ya see people this is what happens when you have a no bullying policy or just assume that the weaker is the one to blame.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I too have no pity but i think he really should be been ordered to receive counselling or some sort of psychological help, there is no way that this hasn't had a huge effect on him

You know I am all for standing up for yourself, that has to happen. I have a personal situation happening at the moment where it's an essential.

But that said, 12 stab wounds is pretty angry. Think about it for a moment, but if someone comes along and threatens you then by all means you are entitled to defend yourself and do what it takes to impede an attack. I can't see how 12 stab wounds impedes an attack that takes a determination that surpasses self preservation.

Also at 15, if the person is this angry where will they be at 25, 35, 45 and so on

Was it anger or fear or some other emotion. He prob lived in terror of this person.

Anyway a stab wound is prob not enough to immediately disable someone. The bully could have overpowered him and turned the life on him. He was prob stabbing and stabbing and the guy wasn't going down. So he kept going until he felt he had the better of him and felt he was not in anymore danger himself.

You are of course right, one may not be enough. But whatever way you look at things, 12 is to much.

Fear makes us all do strange things but I still say after the first couple of thrusts of the knife a rounded person says "hang on"
