Just looking at this Humax receiver on Amazon, free delivery works out at 267 Euro. is it worth it to get it from Amazon very cheap compared to Irish prices.

Have you tried getting a price from Richer Sounds in Belfast? I think they give a Boards discount and, in case any thing goes wrong, it's nice to have a bricks and mortar store to deal with.

I bought one from Amazon in early December for same price you mention. Ordered Wednesday and it was delivered on Friday. Was amazed with the speed of delivery. Best bit of kit I have got so far.

probably no difference in buying online from any of these people, if something goes wrong you will have to post it back to them anyway only difference will be postage cost to perhaps belfast as opposed to uk ,some richersound stuff you have to post it to uk yourself anyway, onkyo for instance

Amazon returns have to be posted to Scotland and they offer to reimburse you €2.50. That's my experience when I got a faulty Hard Drive.

I had an issue with my Humax shortly after buying mine from Richer Sounds and they sent me a replacement by courier who also returned my first unit back to them.

No problem buying from Amazon - at least the vat comes back to Ireland + free delivery.

Richersounds are top notch too - 5 yr warranties are good value @ 10% - vat stays in UK.

Amazon will refund full postage from Ireland if the goods are faulty - you just have to push them a bit - I got full postage back on a twin car dvd player.
