    Hi,

I have a brother printer for home use. The paper feed on it is not working properly i.e. the paper get jammed just at the top of the lip so that 100% of the A4 sheet is not fed through the drum. Doesn't look a major problem.

I contacted brother support and their repair centre. The cost of repairing it is €55 plus parts plus vat. A new one is €110.

    Seems expensive to me.

Can anyone suggest alternatives or should I just bring it to them?

    Cheers

I've seen in some printers a tiny object can fall into the paper feed and cause a similar problem that you describe. Look at the feed entry carefulluy for any object (paper clip, piece of card etc.) which may be causing the jam
