    does anyone know would a 1.9 red d red i passat go coo if it had a straight through exhaust pipe , and would it pass the nct if it had 1 ?

    It won't pass the NCT. It most likely will screw the turbo in no time (due to lack of backpressure) and make the engine run very unsmooth.

    Also, it'll most likely screw your fuel-figures entirely, because the O2 sensors get wrong values.

    And you will definatly get unfriendly with your neighbors.

    If you want more sound of your car, invest in a proper stainless steel backbox. None of this backyard half-arsed half-baked crap.

    Don't mind them lad,she will fly through the NCT with a straight through pipe,she will run fine and there will be a heap more lift out of her.

    Check out www.pigeonsport.com they sell the pipes.

    a diesel engine needs no backpressure only a petrol ! she'll run grand on it not a bother if u leave the cat in then u should not have any bother with the runing costs
