Don't know about you's (i know it's jumps season blah blah but i love all types of racing :p )but i love this carnival it's great to see horses come back year after year like Mr.Brock and Reem so hopefully one year ill get over to it as i've heard it's brilliant on World Cup night and Dubai is like a whole other planet!

Anyways was looking at the cards for tomorrow and Saturday and see that the John Oxx/Johnny Murtagh combination have only one horse each night. Very rare to see Oxx bring a horse over there never mind two. So just keep an eye on them :D
    Dubawi Star 1.55 Friday
    Zabarajad 5.20 Saturday

Also Viscount Nelson runs tomorrow for Mike de Kock at 12.10, formerly with Aidan O'Brien, De Kock usually gets a good tune out of the old O'Brien horses so could run well despite his poor record at times.

There's a card on the Attheraces site for the 21st. I's usually just the entries but in Meydan they usually just have the entries and the reserves. The racing on Saturday is not part of the Carnival by the way so makes the Oxx entry even more eye-catching. Here's the race itself http://www.attheraces.com/card.aspx?raceid=683618&meetingid=51215&date=2012-01-21&ref=mainracenavigation&refsite=&nav=racecards

Would love to go the Dubai World Cup alright and see Meydan. The grandstand out there is a mile long and holds something like 60,000 people!

I checked flights to Dubai for that weeekend (March 31st) and they are really expensive, about €1,500 each. It would be nice to go once though and maybe this is the year for Ballydoyle to take the race with So You Think !!

Gamilati won the guineas on the bridle there, very nicely done

A very nice win for the filly, think she won by something like 5 or 6 lengths today. She took the 1000 Guineas Trial in Meydan last month too, nice to have her.

I remember Gamilati being beaten a short head in a 6f maiden at Newmarket last Summer (The winner, Discourse went on to win the Sweet Solera Stakes after) but bounced back to take the Cherry Hinton so she was always useful.

This is the start of it now for Godolphin, the blue bin are back in business!!

Windy bee, I've been following the form of Gamilati very closely indeed and I backed her at 16's the day she won the Cherry Hinton.

Check out the form of her first two maidens, she was beaten only by Regal Realm first time out, and Discourse is bound to be top notch when she beat Gamilati and she hadn't had a run before. Check out the form of the first one in particular, strongest maiden I've seen in a long, long time.

Gamilati surely did come up against two very strong fillies in her first two maidens. Really like Discourse, she oozed class winning the Sweet Solera, She ran it in 1m 23 secs, the fastest time in over 25 years. She is surely a filly to be followed if kept in training by Al Zarooni and co. !

3 Ballydoyle could be about to increase its presence in Dubai. Having saddled his first runners since 2005 at the World Cup fixture 12 months ago, Aidan O'Brien is reported to have accepted invitations for seven of his horses at this year's Meydan finale on March 31. St Nicholas Abbey, So You Think, Fame And Glory and Treasure Beach are among those that could show up on the $28m card.
