About a week ago I noticed a bad smell in our sitting room, it used to come and go. My first reaction is that it might be a dead mouse or something. . Moved all the furniture etc but nothing....
My daughter told me that she smelt the same smell coming From the airing cupboard upstairs on the opposite side of the house..I have not noticed it here yet
we have now concluded that the smell is only in the sitting room when the central heating is on. .their is also an open fire in the sitting room but this doesn't bring on the smell....
Any idea what it could be or more importantly any ideas on how to get rid of it....

    Not really a fishy smell....
But if it is the light causing it how would I solve it? Don't have the light on that often......

If the bulb is too high wattage for the fitting it overheats the fitting and it smells fishy. Make sure one of your radiators is not leaking, the water inside them smells horrible.
