From your soles to your crotch bone.

Stand barefoot with your back to a wall, feet close together and flat on the floor, with your heels touching the wall. Slide a book (not too thick!) up between your legs until it meets your crotch bone, taking care to move any, erm, obstacles to one side, where applicable. The rearmost perpendicular edge of the book should be flat against the wall. Step away, holding the book in place and mark its highest point on the wall. The distance from that mark to the floor is your inside leg measurement.

Excellent, very precise instructions. Thanks - Everything usually hangs to the left so i'll measure on the right ;-)
