I don't have actual conversations with myself, but I find myself saying things like "okay", "now", etc. when I've thought of something.

All the time. It's a habit ingrained since the children were toddlers and advice was to keep up a running commentary on things you were doing to encourage their speech.

I still walk around the house telling myself what I'm doing and what I'm going to do. In fact, I even do it walking down the street, "I've gotten the new mouse from Argos and now I'm going into Boots and you'd better remind me to get shampoo and then I'm going to the Post Office... blah blah blah". I've even been known to tell myself loudly to shut up. I'm sure by the time I'm 80 I'll be known as that mad little old woman who walks around talking to herself.

No, but I talk to inanimate objects, which increases when I drink. Telling chairs/cups/doors to "Ssshhhh" is a favourite. Or giving out to objects that I walk into/hit off.

I did have a housemate who narrated his life though. "Just gonna make a cup of tea, oh I gotta put the kettle on first, turning on the tap". He did it when I was right there in the kitchen too.

I talk to myself regularly but ignore what i'm saying and then give out to myself for not listening and generally ignore that too unless i get really really cross and then i sort of have to listen but i wil generally argue my own point then and find myself not listening again...the whole thing gets very confusing with no one knowing who started the conversation in the first place. But i do generally win any argument i have with myself.
