    Hello all,
What position is one in if they complete a college course which allows the student to complete a superb portfolio for future job applications, but then the college dumps the portfolio after grading due to a proven human and technical error?

What if, in theory, the college states on it's website that it is not "responsible for the loss or theft of any materials." In theory, would the deliberate destruction of a students property count as "loss of materials".

Don't they tend to retain all rights to material produced for the purpose of the course?

In theory, if this is not stated anywhere on any written documentation or website and that the whole point of such a course would be to have a portfolio that would be suited for suitable interviews?

Anyone else with opinions on this? If, in theory, a student had 2 weeks to collect a portfolio, otherwise it would be destroyed. He or she never received the text and the student has proof that a sytem error in the college failed to send the text, and that the colleges own system clearly shows that the message failed, yet they never contacted the student in light of this.
