Hi all, just wondered if anyone had some recommendations for a good Twitter plugin for Wordpress?

I'd like to add perhaps zTwitter to the footer next to the tag cloud but am wondering if there is anything else to look at instead?

    URL is http://www.pinkbullets.co.uk

    Many thanks. :)

    Nice blog site.
One thing that put me off initially was the fact that the first slider image was in japanesse - I thought it was a sort of spam gamer site.
After I looked around - i think its good. You need to get an SEO package installed - I use this one for wordpress.

    Like it:D

Like overall. I think you need a bit of an introduction in to what the site IS...what's your thing. Is it just another gamer blog? Are you focused on a particular niche? These things aren't apparent, a slogan or content that describes your angle would help.

Ah, I just saw "spoon feeding shooting game addiction" in very small font at the top...so you're focused on shooting games. You should make it more obvious :)

Also, "Here's the goods" is bad grammar ;)

edit: Ikaruga is one of my favourite games of all time btw...do you cover it at all?!

Cheers all. I'll look in to an SEO plugin. There's loads of them though and I get spammed a LOT with SEO plug ins so a bit unsure of what to look for.

I'll look in to the grammar. :D

I do specialise only in shooting games (not Call Of Duty etc but 'proper' 2D 'shmups'). It's a niche, but it's my hobby so I just like writing about those types of games and the culture surrounding them.

There is an 'About' page that tells you exactly what the site is about. I went with the idea that if you know what subject matter the site focuses on, I don't need to spell it out on the front page as you wouldn't really be looking to find such a site if you were not that in to the genre.

Oh and yes, I'll be covering Ikaruga soon, I've a few more interviews coming too. Developers and particularly folk in Japan have been very forthcoming and supportive of the site.

Quite shocking considering it's just a personal little hobby blog, a place for me to bore folk to death!

Thanks for checking it out and the kind words and critique. :)

I agree with you to a point, but you want your site to be open to those who stumble across it, or follow a link on a forum and so on. Yes, the About page describes the site, but only a tiny % of visitors will ever visit the About page. Even a quick slogan under the logo would solve the problem.

Good idea. I'll work on that this week and see if I can make a logo of some sort. :)

Yeah it took a while to figure out what the site was about, if pink bullets is a link to your content then that will be good for people searching that topic. Perhaps reduce the size of the banner and have an intro on what the site is about

The page weighs in at 3.5mb, resave some of those pngs as jpgs.

PNG is suitable for images that have uniform colours and patterns (simple gradients, screen shots of windows explorer, cartoons etc), or when you need a lossless representation of an image (which you don't for a blog) or if indeed you need alpha transparency.

The website looks quite proffessional wth good styles and layout, but there are some elements that I would chnage
    1) Logo - I would add some graphics, it looks like a simple text
    2) The Image on the top that cjanges all the time seems to me very big and don't see welcome text
    3) I think you should remove the recommendation buttons on the top or on the bottom, I would remove that on the top, because there is something wrong with effects when I move cursor over the bottom, the effect is out of the page
Good luck and keep it up
