Tattoo Irritations/Mercury

    Hi,

Does anyones tattoos rise or flare up, especially on the outline. They're not new or anything. Mine sometimes do, especially in warmer weather, they look embossed.

I was told it was due to a mercury component in the ink but any research I have done on this says that there is no mercury in ink anymore.

    Any input appreciated.

Also, I have a wrist tatt and burnt myself on the oven, on saturday. The blister has come off and the burn goes into the ink, is there any special treatment I should give it.

Its probably just a reaction to the ink--ask for a different brand next time.

I have a tattoo on my leg and it has that embossed feeling. I have it over a year.

I also have a tattoo on my foot from the same place and that is smooth.

I wondered if it was due to the body positioning of the tattoos.

All mine are over a year old, one on my shoulder and foot are worst for the embossed feeling. It's also the oldest one so maybe that has something to do with it.

One of mine is the exact same. My 4 tattoos were done in the same place by the same artist but if I scratch the tattoo on my ribs it gets really red and raises.
