Whats the driver looking at. He spends more time in the mirrors than looking ahead. Is he doing a driving test or does he suffer from some form of TS

Given certain police forces latest craze for using the internet to catch people in illegal motoring acts......Open public road, obvious speeding, no seatbelt, clear who the offender are/where they work etc...hmmm.

Looks like fun all the same.

I agree, you can't "prove" that they were speeding (because you can't see the speedo) but you can tell they were doing a "little" more than 60 mph all the same:)!

Amazing video though. They really should have blacked out the driver and number plates!

    VIDEO LINK

They wouldn't have to prove what speed he was doing they could just do him for careless or dangerous driving.

Although if they really wanted to do him for the speeding I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to work it out by calculating the rate of increase in size of objects as they appear on camera.

At one point he goes though the full rev range in one gear......the full rev range of ANY gear in an F1 GTR would put it well over 60mph anyway!

Just checking if anyone wants to overtake him I'd say.

    Indeed, A TDI perhaps.

Harris was saying on Twitter that he had been talking to the cops about it. He was saying that wide angle Go-Pro cameras make it appear that you are going faster than you are :D
Like the comment "of course we are on a private road...that just happens to have a petrol station on it"

I would guess he was checking for cops before accelerating to well over the speed limit.

It seems the clip is actually a couple of years old. The car is now owned by a member on pistonheads, who I have met incidentally who has the F1 gtr, a regular f1, Zonda, couple of porches F40 among others and has the new mclaren mp12c arriving in March.

Ever got a spin in any?
If I had my choice I'd take the F40,I just don't like Ron Dennis:p

No but a friend of a friend is taking delivery of an Aventador at the end of March and given I have previously had a spin in his old diablo I fully intend getting a spin in it at some stage.
