Gorey lost 7&6 in the first round and Whitson lost 1down also. Only Gary Hurley got through the first round for the Irish.

Thanks for the support guys, and jul3s, hope ur enjoying working at home in the cold weather, my main worry is keeping enough suncream on....

Incredible standard out here, I didn't play great all week to be honest, really struggled in the heat, was 40deg first day, 35 2nd day and same yest, very difficult to stay focused. But still have 3 more tournaments to go before we go home on 12 feb. Off to centre court in that should ease the pain.......

If anyone does have questions il gladly answer them here no probs

    NG

So, Adam Scott's been putting in a good word for you!

Hope you adapt to the heat - now I remember why I stay in Ireland.

What courses are you playing out there Gorfield? Best of luck with the rest of it by the way.

Yeah Gorfield would be interested to hear about the courses you are playing. How would you rate them? How would you rate them to similar courses back home?

Is there any website we can follow your progress/see the results?

Best of luck with the remaining competitions.

You've just described my worst nightmare, playing golf in savage heat is brutal, anyway I hope you adjust to the conditions somewhat and redeem yourself in your upcoming tournaments.
Glad to hear you're meeting up with a world class golfer tomorrow, you'll be able to see up close how one should conduct oneself, also you'll be able to discuss the merits of the congu handicapping system and find out what it was like for him when he had to shoot 9 under just to avoid a .1 and how he'd have to shoot 15 under to win a club comp these days:rolleyes:.
Best of luck and enjoy the rest of your baking hot holiday.

Sounds like you're living the dream at the moment Gorfield. Personally, I'd love to be at the level where I would now be worrying what factor to put on, and what tennis match to watch.

Best of luck, and enjoy it!!
