I would try finding a circuit board from an identical drive (not just the model no, all the way down to firmware revision and very close to month of manufacture). Then if that don't work, its probably down to the expensive DR guys. How much is YOUR data worth? Not the OS, your data you can't do without.

Thats the click of death, so yep the hard disk is screwed. Do not keep powering it on more if the data is important, you'll likely need to get the data professionally recovered. You could try putting it in another PC with a working OS install and seeing can any part of it be accessed.
Some may reccomend putting the drive in a freezer in a freezer bag for a few hours, you can try it but I wouldn't personally reccomend it, you do chance screwing it up even more if condensation gets inside the drive

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

    What he said ^^^

Disk is dying, get your data off asap while you can

There's no point sticking it in the freezer. That old trick might help if the drive has completely seized / is not recognised anymore by any tools / os. It worked once for me (out of maybe 6 or 7 attempts)
