People always seem to neglect the fact that Hitler pushed modern medicine years ahead of its time.

Oh right hoarders, I thought we were talking about er....something else!

Yes I hoard **** too, I have most of my baby teeth in a plastic case...

Joe Duffy covered this disgrace once, it was bloody nuts.

Not a hoarder myself, but it can get quite out of control apparently.

Mine are from the early 90's and predict 'shoe-gazing' will sweep the world.

    Not really.

I keep a few kids in my secret dungeon sure, but not old newspapers and magazines and the like.

    Whats an NME and Milburn.

I collect rocks and carve stuff into them. Other than that no I ruthlessly purge hoards of junk regularly.

NME is new musical express, a magazine now associated with indie music.

Milburn are a crap band who came n the wake or arctic monkeys

Milburn actually predated the Arctic Monkeys in their formation, they were supposed to be the band to put Sheffield on the map but their album
'Well Well Well' which I bought sucked balls.

My rule of thumb is that if something hasn't been used in the last 12 months - be it clothes, gadgets, kitchen / household stuff - it gets dumped, sold or dropped off at a charity shop.

I hate clutter or mess of any kind or collections of things I don't need or use. The only exception to that would be my libraries of music, books & films.

Will you marry me? Who cares that we'd end up living in the emptiest house in Ireland!!! Absolutely am in love with throwing stuff out. I actually thought of it earlier on and a smile went across my face in an inappropriate setting, but it just makes me happy! :)

I will quite often get it in my head to spend the day in the attic and fire crap down out of it to throw out. Only for me, the ceiling would have caved in a long, long time ago. The amount of headless holy statues I found up there was frightening!! :(

I could never give up my limited edition 1977 Star Wars merchandise.

And definitely not my limited edition 1980 chewed gum that Luke received of Yoda to help him battle gingivitis and halitosis. It's in perfect condition.

Nooo you can't throw things away.

I'm such a hoarder. I've become a bit more ruthless as the family grew but I keep things I think are important, kids school reports my favorite items of their baby clothing. Belonging to myself I have a few boxes of assorted stuff like notes from school, postcards, tickets party invitations that are over 20 years old. Terrifies me that if my house went on fire I'd lose all my stuff.

I just spent the last 20 mins clearing up my desktop (computer one like). Customized a few folders and all to keep it clean and eye-tidy.

    Does that make sense?

Wasn't it always assicoated with Indie, bar the odd feature?

Had a couple of years worth of Q magazine, around the time when they had clasifieded ads of people looking for or selling past issues. I stupidly gave all mine to Oxfam.

My parents have hoarded all their lives-my sister still wears clothes from her college era back in the 80s.
If you visited her house, you'd ring the guards, thinking someone had broken in,it's so cluttered.
    Me?
    Throw everything away,including stuff I shouldn't:o

Christ yea. I've got all sorts of mad shíte built up over the years. Some of it noteworthy and valuable and most of it not, except to me. One of these days I'll end up on TV3 as freak for the enjoyment of the slack jawed that tune into that sorta thing. :)

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

This week I brought eight years of the Blood Horse magazine (weekly issues) to Ballyogan Recycling. Now I have to sort my other magazines. Magazine subscriptions - not a good idea.

As long as you've storage space and your actual living space is clear you can kick the can down the road.

Anywho I love keeping a few magazines somewhere its comforting because it reminds me of a time when I could buy them and know who the bands in them were and was actually excited about spending a few quid for some mildly entertaining articles.

I need to "go through" <-- see doesn't mean throw out, college notes from 1st and 2nd year which i'll never need in fact out of all the college notes I've taken I've never looked at them again but I still keep them.

I'm the complete opposite of a hoarder, absolutely hate having stuff around the house I never use. I don't have too much stuff as it is but I had a huge clear out a few weeks ago, got rid of a lot of things (a TV, Xbox, most of my clothes, shoes, CD's, DVD's, books, etc.). Plan on getting rid of more over the next 2-3 months.

The biggest of anything I own (aside from my car) are probably DVD's and books. My entire music collection is on my laptop now, I don't ever use the CD's anymore. I've been thinking about getting an iPad or equivalent and just having all my music/movies/books on that.

The feeling of being semi-featherlight is great, I like knowing that it would only take an hour or so to pack up everything I own and leave just like that.

Well NME started in like the 50's, indie was sorta not invented yet;)

Can still remember them being delivered beleive it or not! I dont actually use them and have not used in years but they take up space

SHOULD I SELL THEM ON??? Or should i keep as memory that i can share with my kids?
