Yeah the guy is a tosser, but I did smile...

I actually done something like that years ago, by accident I must add. Driving in Dublin city centre and it lashes rain. Keeping with traffic didn't notice a very large puddle, sent a tidal wave over 3 poor auld wans heading to bingo in the sunday best. As bad as I felt about it, I couldn't stop and offer to pay for cleaning or something, kinda glad probably would have been battered...The misses p***ed herself laughing all the way home calling me the most evil b****rd in the world.

Bollocks. You don't need to watch kids being splashed at a bus stop to know that it's wrong.

She claims she only did it because the children had asked to be splashed and had 'enjoyed' getting wet.

To be fair though, he could have aqua plained and butchered everybody standing there....

I love the way everyone assumes its a bloke doing the driving/soaking.

Good to see the biased Irish Road Safety adverts are getting the message home that every bad thing that happens involving a car, has a bloke behind the wheel.

TBH, not sure if she was prosecuted. She should have been. So should he. For being a gobshìte if nothing else.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 196 ✭✭ann0

Happy splashing' driver could face prosecution for 'deliberately soaking children with puddles... and posting video on YouTube

You could face a hefty fine and between three and nine penalty points if the police believe you were driving without reasonable consideration to other road users

now i hope they laugh at that.somehow i dont think they will though

What a prize one twat. All she needed was to loose control of the car going through the water and he could have ended taking the kids out.

I see from the mail they have the drivers details......she is going to be in a world of pain.....dangerous driving/without undue caution etc.......those kids could have easily been taken out with her antics.

    The poor kids...!

I saw a police car in New York soak a guy right outside Canal Street subway station. The guy roared at the police car..... the cops reversed back and apologised to him saying they didn't see the puddle (while sniggering of course :D). The guy who got soaked was asking the cops if they had a towel or some clean clothes in the car...

A couple of yrs ago when we had like rain every two days there was a part of the rd into town that was susceptible to flooding. Usually everyone would slow down and drive through causing the water to splash although no higher that a few feet.

Anyways this one day myself and my friend were driving into town and were passing through the flooded part. Only one car coming in other direction................ With driver window down. Was not until we were within meters of each other did we realise what was about to happen. I will never forget the look of impending doom on the other drivers face as he realised he was going to get a soaking!!!

We do regret it though...........not having a video camera that day!!!

During the recent flooding in Dublin I was on the way home and accidentally drenched 3 people - I didn't see them!

I felt so bad I pulled in and gave them a lift home . . . they were not happy with me!

Well done for stopping and giving them a lift.

A woman did that to me (accidentally) one morning as I was on my way to work years ago.

She stopped, waited for me to run home and change (bus stop was across from my house) and drove me to work afterward (as I'd missed the bus). While I wasn't happy with her initially, I did appreciate that she waited and brought me into town.

It transpired that she lived really near me, and had a parking space in town near my office, and after that if she saw me waiting for the bus she'd often give me a lift.

I was hoping the video would end with them skidding in under the back of artic and being decapitated. Now THAT would be funny.

I can't find the newspaper article, but wasn't the driver convicted of dangerous driving? I think there was a large fine, plus a driving ban.

All just a bit of a laugh, isn't it.

If you owned a gun, you wouldn't bring it out on a public street and use it to shoot cans off a wall.

You're driving a tonne of metal at high speed (anything moving above 50km/h is fast when it weighs a tonne). It's not a bloody toy to play games with.
