    I've taken to photography over the past year or two, but often find I'm a bit intimidated to venture out with my gear at the weekend, or especially evenings as they're still dark, on my own. I've looked at photography clubs etc but I don't really feel like I'm anywhere near that standard or knowledge level and a lot of them are quite expensive as well. Is there anyone here that would be interested in going on photo walks/that kinda thing? I'm really keen to improve and practise and would be interested to try things like time lapse and evening/night work...but anything really and London is such a massive playground.

    I'm working with a Nikon D50, a 50mm f1.4, and a 10-20mm as well as the kit 18-55mm.

    Hiya,

    I am considering joining a monthly club near my house and was planning to head to South Bank on Saturday afternoon to try take some photos and you're more than welcome to join me. It's just a hobby for me and occasionally I take a photo I like!

    I've 2 cameras with me, I only like the one focal length 35mm, so I have an OM4Ti film camera with a 35mm lens and an x100 for shooting digital :)

    Sounds good. What club are you looking at? I've looked at clubs near me (Peckham) but they all have really extortionate fees without giving much in return. I've plans to be in Brixton this Saturday and then either at home or in pub for the Munster match but am definitely interested in meeting up.

    I find I mostly leave the 50mm on the camera and go with what that can produce.

    I'm going to join a club in East Dulwich which is free and just a ragtag bunch of people who meet once a month, I can link you up to that if you want to come to my first meeting with them in February

    (Jesus, between the two of you and last week's Beers nearly being turned into some sort of weird swinger night I don't know what's going on round here at the minute. Someone's put Essence of Frisky in the water, apparently...)
