Vw bora turbo!!

    Hey lads, turbo went in my vw bora 1.9 tdi, 110bhp, car is an 02 can't seem to get my hands on one and the reconditioned ones are a bit pricy, any ideas on where id pick up a reliable one at a reasonable price?

    No guaruntee of reliability with a used non reconditioned one though.

    From experience buy a recon one seriously if u be second hand you will end up buying twice.so it's worth your while paying for a recon turbo.check done deal for recon turbos

    Was onto him before xmas,,and was quoted €400 for a re-con Turbo for an 02 Octavia...

    That also comes with 12 months back-up cover.

    Getting a second hand turbo from a scrap yard is a false economy. It could fail on you the day after it is fitted. A reconditioned one is the way to go.

    I think there is a lad on vagdrivers.net selling one off a 130 engine.

    Thanks a million lads, yea was thinking a recon one would be safer than buying a second hand one as it could go at anytime. Supposed to have one coming this weekend so should be back on the road early next week:)
