I like TAL and Radiolab a lot, anything else out there similar?

99% Invisible is one, but the episodes are very short.

    Any recommendations?

Whenever TAL does anything related to the economy, e.g. their episode on Toxic Assets, it's in collaboration with the people behind the NPR Planet Money podcast. The style is similar, and I give that podcast a lot of credit for helping me figure out just what the heck was going on in world economies over the last few years.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Freakanomics is worth listening to also.

The episode length varies a lot but it's always interesting
