Peugeot ABS ECU Failure

Hi, I have a 07 Peugeot 207. The ABS braking system and power steering lights were flashing. Also the speedometer stopped working. The car is currently in the peugeot garge having the ABS ECU replaced, costing quite alot of money..

I have done some research on the internet, and ABS ECU failure seems to be quite common on peugeot cars. I have come across a post which says that the BBC WatchDog program in the UK investigated this same issue resulting in Peugeot accepting that there were faulty ECUs.
Does anyone have any info on this ?

Have the same problem. Is the reduced rate only thorough Peugeot dealers or can any mechanic get them at that price? I saw figures of £700 quoted on UK forums.
