Bought these in Ashbourne yesterday. They're unbranded, just sold in a brown cardboard box. I tried one last night, did the job perfectly. I'd say they'll last me til mid 2013, not bad for €20.

Just wondering - while you say they are unbranded - does the packaging give an ingredient list? These tablets would be washing plates etc that I would be eating off and I would want to know what the heck was in them. But great value for a bulk purchase.

nice one, deffo pick up a box of these on the way home. I have a real dislike of that shop for some reason though, I'll remind myself why this evening.

anyone got a regualr cost per capsule of dishwasher tablets?

    edit: answer it myself.

    from tesco online shopping:
tesco own value brand : 30 for 1:59 = 5 cents per tablet

few other brands are there, mid point one is
fairy tablets are half price quantum 40s for 8.49 = 21 cents per tablet

the buy low ones are 500 for 20 = 4 cents per tablet. so not too much saving on the tesco value ones by my maths which are usually terrible.

no ingredients on packaging wait4me, just says "Dishwasher Detergent" on the plastic wrappers.

20% is a huge saving ... of course I don't know if they are of equal quality

Whilst I did also see the tablets in Tesco for €8.49 there is no way in hell they are half price. They were never €16.98. I don't think I have ever paid more than €9.00 for those dishwasher tablets.

Buy Lo in Shannon opened and closed in the same month so no cheapo tablets for me so. :(

Been in that one in ashbourne before. Didn't notice any great savings. Some things were actually dearer than supermarket. Think its the mentality of bulk buying makes it cheaper.

    No Aldi near me.
We use the Lidl brand and have no complaints.
Our dishwasher manual actually advises using basic tabs rather than the 3 or 4 in 1 type.
