Just your thoughts on this please as I am trying to budget.

Hubby started a new job. Contract says pay is "fortnightly in arrears". So his first pay is due at the end of his 3rd week working.

How many weeks should he be paid for then?1,2 or 3 weeks?

    Thanks

I would presume the first 2 weeks. He should ask the boss. It may be the first 3 but only if he missed the cut off for pay the fotnight before then they may include week 1 with the week 2-3 pay.

Only correct answer you will get is from the boss/HR.

Two, plus any extra days from the previous pay period that didn't get paid then (because, of course, they didn't have him set up in payroll by the end of his first working week).

    So most probably three weeks.

Need to check with the company...depends on whether he started at the start or middle of the fortnightly pay period.
