Currently looking for one, any recommendation, reliability wise mainly?
I see lots of Berlingo on Donedeal, many seem to have suffered head gaskets problems, while some Kangoo seem to have had some transmission failures.

Any good reliable one with good diesel MPG?

Looking to spend 1500 top (Commercial)

    Thank you

well the kangoo arent as strong as the berlingo.

    i had 3 berlingos

two of them were 1.9. very good and reliable

then the one one drive now is a 08 1.6 and its giving me nothing but trouble.

with your price range u would get an 02 03 one which are 1.9s so they are a good relible van.

but the kangoo isnt as good of van.

I agree, spending €1500 your best bet is a 1.9 Berlingo. Nothing fancy about them but they are simple, cheap to run and reliable, which is about as good as you can ask for with your budget.

I owned both 1.9d and 2.0HDI berlingo....imo the 2.0HDI was one of the best all round vans I ever drove.Loads of power, very comfortable and great value. I have been told however that the 1.6HDI is more economical but does give trouble. Currently drive a new 1.6TDI caddy which is a very good van but I could not justify the price if it was my own money.
