I'd like to shoot mung beans sprouting in time-lapse, will they germinate using the modelling light on a Bowens head? I have a room where i can exclude all other light, so this would be ideal, just dunno if there's enough UV ...

    Any botanists/herbalists out there?

    :p

I know very little about beans but germination usually doesn't need light (or possibly a very brief exposure) just sufficient heat and moisture.
